असमेन समानत्वं भविता कलहे मम। इति मत्वा ध्रुवं मानी मृगात्सिंहः पलायते॥ इन्दिश्चे स्प्रुचे ७६१ ३६४६ शार्ङ्गधरपद्धतिः
asamena samānatvaṁ bhavitā kalahe mama| iti matvā dhruvaṁ mānī mṛgātsiṁhaḥ palāyate|| indiśce spruce 761 3646 śārṅgadharapaddhatiḥ
Indeed, the proud and dignified lion is avoiding and even moving away quickly from a deer because if a fight happens between the two, that itself would seem to indicate some equality between them, when actually there is no room for comparison. The lion just avoids a trivial opponent out of dignity.
