God, I believe, creates everything, every being, with a purpose..
Sometimes the created being does not care to understand that purpose.
Sometimes the created being ignored to live up to the purpose.
Sometimes the created being tries to flout and even defeat the intent of the Maker..
Then I trust, God has no choice but to remove His own dear creation from the arena of activity.. because He has to run His universe with some sanity.
The rotten apple is thrown away so that others in the heap are saved.
Substitute "nature" in the place of "God" and still the idea would work..
Stories and parables abound on this..
But one very glaring example is Vaali.the monkey..
He was sent to this world to assist Rama in His incarnation for operation "Remove Ravana".
The monkey was the son of the Lord of Devas, Indra..
However, the monkey got arrogant, even made friendship with Ravana, and perpetrated actions discordant with dharma..
So, even before the theme of the main story started unveiling,Vaali had to be removed by Rama himself..
