Reading more makes it difficult to understand things because the more one reads the additional insights challenge him all the more..
So there is a suggestion.. why should one read at all.?.
When I saw that suggestion, my mind reacted like this
"Philosophers say that being born in this world is miserable. But then people are born and they do not stay in the mother's womb for ever..
An infant can have a carefree life in the care of his mother..
But as it grows, it leaves the mother to explore many other things..
And new ventures continue to be the sign of life at each stage.
By instinct, human beings try to do new things, whether they are comfortable or not... most of the time knowing fully that the progress can be uncertain and confusing..
But without such ventures, nothing great or even ordinary would have been possible in life..
Some specialists in conquering and looting neighbouring terrains knew the value of books better than others..
They knew that all resistance emanated from books which were studied by the educated people.
So dutifullly they burnt libraries whenever they raided and captured civilized areas.. The library at Alexandria is an example..
So do not study..
Live on as ignorant morons for ever.. Nice idea..
