We as Individuals, and as a society are faced with a critical situation.
We can afford to introspect.. although there is no guarantee that such introspection would help us much in this situation..
At least we can come down from our deluded state of arrogance
Maybe it is an enforced Shanti in which we have landed ..
But the human race, when it was exposed to modern inventions and comforts, forgot themselves and tended to view such comforts as the ultimate goals in life..
Moreover, a general strain of thoughts or attitude arose where those who possess more gadgets and more physical comforts were considered superior to others who were endowed with lesser facilities of that kind..
And those with more comforts tried to rub it in on others.
And those in places of advantage tried to hike up even to absurds heights, their demands and also the charges they would levy if others wanted their services..
Now such comforts are losing their sheen.
Comparisons have lost their meaning..
And the lesser endowed people, even if they want to pay for the services, no longer possess the resources to pay.. So the feeling of uppishnes, often such feelings were indeed mere delusions, has proved to be futile.
Hero worship, star value, all these things would hold the field only if the basic needs are fulfilled..
Even God, morality, all will be in place only when life is not in real danger..
Poetry, and fine arts would be enjoyed only when the tummy is full.
Sign of danger of threat of death would make man just an irrational animal..
Is there any way out?
