Yes that is what we do every morning when we do pooja to God..
We collect flowers bathe the idols decorate them offer flowers and sandal paste and stotrams to the idols which is God, we offer food to Him we recite hymns and extracts from Vedas and puranams for His listening..
In short we give Him a Royal treatment and talk to Him in Sanskrit for sometime
A ritualistic pooja will take one hour at least.
And there is only the worshipper and the God as parties and no one to interfere.
No one will interfere if he is informed that the pooja is on.
That is a daily experience without any substitutes.
The methods the locations the language etc might vary and one religion may not agree with the methods of another religion.
But in every religion and faith there is room for a private rendezvous for the man and his maker..without any third party intrusion.
That niche is priceless
